Announcement – Remembering Dr. Elisabeth Brown, Visionary in OC Land Conservation

Elisabeth ‘Liz’ Brown, Ph.D., a prominent biologist and advocate for open space and wildlife habitat protection in Orange County, passed away at 81. She was a key figure in preserving wilderness lands around Laguna Beach, creating the South Coast Wilderness, and establishing the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Dr. Brown also contributed to public education on local ecology through writing and teaching.
